Commercial Airline Pilot

The Career Center (Room 403) will be hosting a career Commercial Airline pilot (ex Air Force)
to speak on his career and his path and how he got there. He will discuss the educational and training requirements and the good and less good aspects of the job and his career.

If you would like to attend please leave your name and contact information in the comment section of this website or leave your name at the Career Center in room 403. Once we have gauged the interest we will schedule the visit.

Maine Community Foundation - Here's a great list of Scholarships Available Statewide!  Lots of links!  Go here!

Maine Chapter of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) - Construction Expo of Maine awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to young men and women from Maine that are pursuing careers in construction-related fields.   Scholarships of $500 or $1000 a year for one to four years are awarded, based on scholastic achievement and financial need.  Deadline May 1, 2014.

NECBACNECBAC will be awarding book scholarships to eligible students of color graduating from a New England high school who will be enrolling full-time in a NECBAC member institution (full list is a link on that page).   In order to be considered for this scholarship, applicants must submit an official application, essay and an official high school transcript through our website by the deadline of May 15, 2014.

Greater Brunswick Physical Therapy Scholarship -
This scholarship is granted to a student pursuing a career in physical therapy.  See the Morse Guidance Office or Morse Career Center for applications.  Deadline:  April 10, 2013

February is Over?

Odenza Marketing Group Scholarship - $500 award, 2 essays required, deadline March 30, 2014.

Peter Pasula Study Habits Scholarship - $500 award, deadline April 1, 2014.

National Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities - $20,000 award, deadline April 15, 2014.
  1. The student must have a serious physical challenge and may or may not use a wheelchair for mobility. The physical challenge must be significant and affect activities of daily living. No minor disability will be considered.
  2. Must have verifiable unmet financial need.
  3. Must have at least a B average.
  4. Must be a high school senior or college undergrad. We do not fund graduate studies.
  5. The applicant must show some form of significant community service or social contribution in the past.
Your Favorite Car Scholarship - $500 award, deadline April 30.

HSF/Marathon Oil Cooperative Office Education Scholarship Program -  $3000 award, deadline March 9, 2014.
The "Your Favorite Car Scholarship" is sponsored by New Car Sell Off. New Car Sell Off is an online portal where you can find discounted new and used vehicles from dealers around the world. The scholarship program is designed for students in Canada and the United States only. If you currently reside outside of either country, you are not considered eligible.


To be considered eligible for the Odenza Marketing Scholarship you must:

A) Be between the ages of 16 and 25 on March 30th, 2014

B) Submit answers to the essay questions, which can be found on the application page, prior to the March 30th, 2014 deadline.

C) Have at least one full year of post secondary studies remaining at the time of the award. (Current High School Students are also eligible.)

D) Have a GPA of 2.5 or greater.

E) Be a citizen of the United States or Canada

The scholarship winner will be announced on or around April 30th, 2014

Fast Approaching Deadline Scholarships

Davidson Fellows ScholarshipThe Davidson Fellows Scholarship awards $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 scholarships to extraordinary young people, 18 and under, who have completed a significant piece of work. 
Application categories are Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Literature, Music, Philosophyand Outside the Box. Davidson Fellows are honored every year in Washington, D.C. with Congressional meetings and a special reception.
The Davidson Fellows Scholarship deadline has been extended to February 19, 2014.
American Indian College Fund - Applicant must be registered as a member of a federal or state recognized tribe, or a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member. 

Courageous Persuaders Scholarship - Applicants must create a TV commercial to warn middle school students about the dangers of underage drinking.  This is open to grades 9 - 12!  Deadline February 12, 2014.

Proton OnSite Scholarship and Innovation Programwill award college scholarships of up to $100,000 total / $25,000 per year.A student scholarship award covers eligible expenses for undergraduate tuition only. Scholarship monies not used during one academic year are not transferable to the succeeding academic year. Each scholarship is one to four years in length, and to be eligible for renewal, students must remain enrolled full-time and meet all criteria of standard academic progress as established by their university. The student must also maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 while in college.
